Noticing a few confused looks, he adds, "There's apparently this mad variation on apple bobbing that involves sticking candles and apples on alternating spokes of a wheel, hanging it from the ceiling, lighting the candles, then setting the whole business spinning before attempting to take a bite out of one of the apples."
