"Perhaps they could say that Caecilius, the real one, was incapacitated somehow, and since Twelve already knew from being Ten that he and his family had to be saved, he pretended to be the man so Donna and you could get his wife and kids out, and then went back for the man himself?"
"Sounds complicated enough," is Marty's opinion. "And really? Wonder what would have happened if the guy had said no."
"Doubtful -- playing the Doctor is a major opportunity, isn't it?" Doc asks.
