Happy Halloween! (^o^)
Halloween! It is here. It is awesome. And awesome holidays deserve some truly awesome parties! As per usual, the Inkwell is all decked out and ready to go – black and orange streamers, paper bats hanging from the ceiling, fake blood on the window, and a jack-o-lantern sitting by the front door outside – one that is carved with a pie shape and what looks like a razor on it. There is a reason for this – this year’s theme for most of the residents is Sweeney Todd. You can thank Lucy for the idea – she herself is dressed up as Mrs. Lovett. Simon has taken on the role of Beadle Bamford, putting on his best shifty-eyed look. DG-Victor has of course become Sweeney himself, with Alice serving as his long-lost Lucy. (Yes, there was an element of amusement about Alice dressing herself up as a Lucy.) Doc is serving as the evil Judge Turpin, and Marty as lesser antagonist Adolfo Pirelli (the “piss and ink” guy). Dee is crossdressing as the unfortunate Toby, and Steve & Gary are dressed up in their puppy forms as pies with arms and legs sticking out of them (and having probably way too much fun as such).
There are two hold-outs on the theme – the two Victors who main haunt these days is tumblr. Butterfly Boy has run with the mun’s old idea for an Avengers AU based on her primary two crossover universes and is dressed up as a steampunk Iron Man. And Forgotten Vows has taken to heart a crossover idea Vic’s friend Reenie had over there and dressed up as Nathan Wallace, aka the Repo Man, from Repo!: The Genetic Opera. There’s been a few nervous looks their way as nobody can tell if the weaponry they’re carrying is real or not. (Not that they would ever turn such on their friends, but – accidents happen.)
At any rate, there’s plenty of good food, good tunes, and good fun to be had, so go ahead and drop by! Happy Halloween!

"Your mun has actually DONE something for Secundus's Halloween over there this year, hasn't she?" SecDoc asks, sounding a bit concerned. "I know she missed last year thanks to the storm. . ."

"She did a lot of preplanning yesterday," TeenDoc, as Gil Wulfenbach, confirms. "Queued up posts for both of our tumblr denizens, and made sure this party would be ready to go posthaste."

"Happy Halloween!" AL chirps cheerfully.

"Well, it could be any number of - " begins Eleven.
"That's okay," she interrupts him. "We don't need to know." She continues. "So the alter ego picked the skirt, shirt and tank top up at K Mart. They go so well together you can't tell it's three pieces."

"Well, they don't usually pull that shit with men's sizes -- and I could handwave your getting proper clothes," Vic points out. "Wouldn't THAT be convenient in real life. 'Oh yeah, I TOTALLY went shopping the the other day and got new shirts and pants.'"

"Dee herself ran into Harry Dresden in the Nexus," Doc says as Dee nods beside him. "That's the trouble with having two birthdays and our major holiday party so close together. After the first event, there's never much news to share."

"Yeah," she says, "I know what you mean. Same here, nothing interesting. Unless you're into Pokemon, which I know you're not really. Oh, and the alter ego is writing up a list of 50 head-canon facts for the 50th anniversary. I think she's got almost 40 thus far."
no subject
"I can't say we are, no -- though some of the new designs do look interesting," Doc allows. "And good for her! I'm surprised she doesn't have a hundred already, honestly, given your own long history with the Doctor." He nods at the group currently hanging out by the bar. "And your romantic entanglements with many of his regenerations."

She nods. "Yeah. Let's just say the alter ego has the newest game and so Alnilam's Pokemon population just got added to. I'm glad I have a big planet." She shakes her head slightly, then smiles at Doc. "You'd think so, but apparently doing this is kind of tough because, truthfully, she's never given the 'facts' much thought until now. Like, she knows that the Doctor and I fell in love when he regenerated into Five." She gestures to said incarnation. "The relationship was strained when he became Six and came back full force when he became Eight." Again, gesture to said Time Lord. "But this'll be the first time she'll say anywhere that someone other than her will read it that Six and Seven did still care about me even though they had trouble expressing it. Or why Jackson Lake didn't know of our relationship when he thought he was the Doctor." She feels the need to explain this. "He's a man from 1851 London who got ahold of some Cyberman tech that basically did an info-dump on the Doctor inside his head so that he thought he was the Doctor for a while. He had information on me and knew we traveled together, but didn't know the extent of the relationship." Beat. "Cybermen have no concept of 'love', you see, being emotionless themselves."

Doc chuckles. "Oh dear. Yes, probably a very good thing you have a whole large planet to play with." He listens to AL's explanation, nodding thoughtfully. "I see. Well, I wish her luck in thinking up and organizing all the information, then. Vic's just not the sort to keep that all to herself."
"Yes -- I'm honestly shocked she stopped at fifty for me," Forgotten adds, looking rather disturbed by the part about Jackson Lake. "Er -- you did help that poor man remember who he truly was, right? I mean, I'm sure you wouldn't let him run around thinking he was the Doctor, but he did get himself back, correct?"
