"Telling the other Lisa he didn't love her, for example..." Jesse quips. "None of us ever did that."
She shrugs. "Things happened. And we're actually short one episode...one was skipped due to DVR malfunction and will be recorded later but the one after was pretty good." She smiles. "But it wasn't just the episode, though I'm sure it factored in it. She had another dream and he told her he loved her. Good enough for us."
"I told you," says Twelve.
"I know it and everyone in this room knows it, but you know how the alter ego gets. It took not even one episode to fall for Eleven. You took ten. And saying what you did in the dream didn't help."
"That wasn't me," he insists.
"Yes, but you have to admit that things have changed in this new life cycle. I'm getting to know you all over again. Sometimes it's scary and sometimes you do things that remind me of why I fell in love with you in the first place."
Behind her, Five looks rather pleased with himself.
"So," she says in closing, "all you have to do is not do something stupid like tell one of us you don't love us and we're good."
Twelve glowers with those attack eyebrows of his, but he concedes that she's right. One episode left in the season - okay, technically two since one got skipped - so here's hoping.
