Another party, so (relatively) soon? Well, it is a holiday -- Victor's favorite holiday, in fact! And neither DG-Victor, Forgotten Vows, nor Butterfly Boy is willing to let it pass by without any recognition at all. So they've set up what they believe are the necessities for a proper May Day:
-->A Maypole with colorful streamers out in the back yard
-->A picnic blanket for those who would like to eat outside
-->Little floral centerpieces for all the tables, as well as a basket of flowers hung on the door
-->And flower crowns! They've each made themselves one, and are busy tying together daisies and violets to make ones for their friends. Alice and Dee are already sporting theirs, and they're more than willing to make some for anyone else who might pop by wanting to celebrate spring.
So yes -- if you're of a mind to prance around in flowers and maybe have some snacks, come on by! You don't want to make Victor (any of him) sad, do you?

17/5/17 02:58 (UTC)DG-Victor blinks. "Wait -- you don't mean naturally grown rainbow, right? I thought you had to dye them."
"Well, we can grow rainbow-colored roses, but yes, in non-mad-science worlds -- or non-Lisa ones -- they're dyed," Butterfly Boy tells him. "You cut the stem and put each piece into different colored waters, and the rose soaks it up and dyes the petals. It's pretty fascinating in its own right."
Forgotten stares at Data as he relates the meanings of daisies and violets. "Er -- yes, I believe 'I will never tell' applies to secrets. . .I'm from the Victorian era and you know more about flower language than me," he adds, laughing and shaking his head. "Then again, I never had much chance to practice with a sweetheart. For violets I was just thinking of Lisa's tendency to stay with all of her paramours for as long as possible."
"I don't know if we have white. . ." DG-Victor takes a look, sorting through the flowers. "We have some blue! Those should be acceptable, right?"
"I suppose we could add some purple to mine," Alice says, taking hers off with a playful smirk. "I've caught you staring at me with a far-off grin enough times, after all."

17/5/17 20:10 (UTC)"Well," Luke says to Forgotten, "Data is an android. He's a walking encyclopedia."
"He's like our own personal Google," giggles AL. "Watch this. Data, when is International Butterfly Day?"
"There is no 'International Butterfly Day'," the android replies, "however, National Learn About Butterflies Day occurs on the 14th of March, Butterfly Education and Awareness Day - BEAD - is the first Saturday of June each year - "
"See?" AL cuts him off. "Of course he's more than a walking pantheon of knowledge. He's also a great friend. Blue is fine, Victor, thanks."

19/5/17 02:50 (UTC)"That's true -- I just didn't expect someone who lives on a starship to know much about flower language," Forgotten says, rubbing the back of his head. "It's not really relevant to everyday life on the Enterprise, is it?"
"Technically, neither is everything we know about butterflies," Butterfly Boy points out. He grins as Data reels off a few dates for butterfly-themed days. "Really? A shame that we missed the first -- but maybe we could do a little something for the second. At the very least, I feel like I should get a new experiment going."
"Blue it is, then," DG-Victor agrees, blushing at his wife. "And, uh, we'll add some purple to yours later."
