Happy Birthday Victor! (Yes, Just Victor)

Yes, today is all about the birthday of the newest member of the Inkwell group -- Forgotten Vows! Why are we neglecting Marty McFly, DG-Victor, and Butterfly Boy?

Largely because everyone realized we were up to FOUR people with the same birthday (SIX if you count Tie-Twister and Secundus Marty), and everyone said, "Oh HELL no." It's just too much trouble at this point to keep track of everyone. So, to simplify things, the party is being focused on the guy who has yet to get one.

So! The Inkwell is not only done up in Corpse Bride-flavor blue, but "Alice"-flavor red as well today. The jukebox is playing bits from the "Alice" soundtrack -- primarily anything that strongly features piano, with a few other pieces Forgotten likes as well. And sprinkled liberally around on the unoccupied tables is butterfly confetti, as that applies to both series equally. Forgotten himself is at the traditional birthday table, looking a little shy, but happy to be so loved. Won't you come by and make sure to welcome him to the family properly?

The others wave while Forgotten is immediately attracted to the display piece. "Oh my," he says, walking around it in a circle and examining it from all angles. "This is -- this is made from cake?"

"And gumpaste, I believe," Vic says with a grin. "They can do some pretty cool stuff, huh?"

"Amazing! Especially the Bonejangles -- I understand he and his ilk were hard enough to create as solid puppets. I can't imagine the work it must have took for one made out of something edible." He chuckles as Lisa explains about the other cakes. "I don't think I could bring myself to even touch this, no," he confesses. "And you're on the mark -- I'm a chocoholic just like the others. Just ask Vic what I asked her to get for the ice cream earlier today."

"Snickers-flavored waffle cone, with what looked like real mini-Snickers mixed in," Vic reports. "Yuuuum." More sympathetically, she adds, "And yeah, I heard Eleven's Matt is leaving at the end of this year. Sucks, but hopefully they'll get an acceptable Twelve. Fingers crossed!"

The other Victors (including Tie-Twister) crowd in around to look at the pictures. "Oh my," DG-Victor breathes. "That's -- wow."

"Amazing," Tie-Twister agrees, eyes wide.

"Should have asked Alia to take me to that," Butterfly Boy says. In response to the puzzled looks, he adds, "Yes, Vic's friend on tumblr has three. The one who plays Time Lady doesn't come out often, granted -- it's usually normal and Touched. Apparently we share a birthday with a real-life friend of hers, by the by."

Forgotten Vows nods, then grins over at the Doctors. "I'd be honored, really. These are incredible." The other Victors nod excitedly.

AL chuckles. "Since it's a display piece, really only the fondant is edible. But since it's covering things like cardboard and PVC pipe, you may want to stick with the sheet cakes. The gum paste figures should be okay, though, but I'm not sure if you'd feel comfortable nibbling on your friends." She giggles. "Though if you want to keep them, I'm sure either the Docs or the Doctors could find a way to preserve them."

"That Snickers thing sounds yummy," says AL. "Although it may be too many peanuts for my taste...they have the tendency to overpower my tastebuds." She shrugs. "To each their own. I'm partial to mint chocolate chip myself. Or the crazy things you can do at places like Cold Stone where you can pick your ice cream and then pick whatever you want mixed into it. They do this thing with vanilla ice cream, cookie dough and chocolate chips that's amazing. It's called 'Cookie Doughn't You Want Some' and the alter ego REALLY should head to Cold Stone at some point this year." She glares upward for lack of anywhere better to glare.

*ahem* Yes, dear.

"Anyway," says AL, "so, yeah, whenever you want to take the trip, just stop by. I'll make the Doctors fight over whose TARDIS you take in advance so it won't happen on the day." She grins while the Doctors shoot her dirty looks.

"Ah -- yes, the sheet cakes sound much better," Forgotten says, stepping away from the cake. "And I would feel rather weird. . .gumpaste doesn't sound particularly tasty either, if you don't mind me saying so."

"Having never tried the stuff, I can't give an opinion myself," Vic says, shrugging. "And the ice cream was mostly chocolate, so I think you would have been okay." She grins and licks her lips. "That sounds yummy. We don't have a Coldstone around here, but the ice cream place in one of the local coffee shops seems to work similarly. Just with fewer flavors."

"What they do have is good, though," Forgotten Vows points out. "That Cake Batter shake you got for Alice's birthday was very tasty." He chuckles at the looks the Doctors shoot her. "I take it them working together to drive one and make sure it gets us to the right place and time is out of the question. . ."

"I've never tried gumpaste either," confesses AL. "So I can't say. But I hear it's similar to fondant but very sweet."

AL glances at the Doctors. "They'd probably still argue over whose TARDIS to take."

"Mine won't overwhelm the Victors with technology," says Five.

"Ours at least has somewhere to sit," says Nine and Ten.

"Mine has places to sit!" says Eight. "AND the interior is reminiscent of Jules Verne."

"Mine's the latest," says Eleven.

"See?" says AL.

"I've never heard all that much good about fondant, at least in terms of its edibility," Vic admits. "I'd stick with the sheet cakes for sure, boys."

"Will do," Forgotten nods, then watches as the Doctors start trying to one-up each other. "Jules Verne? I think we know which one we'd be taking if Doc was going," he jokes.

"Oh yes," Butterfly Boy giggles. "And I've no problem being overwhelmed with technology, but then again, I am the scientist in the group. . ."

"Somewhere to sit would be nice -- but that's something we can decide later," Forgotten says. "Unless each of us would like to take a separate TARDIS."

"I think it depends on the manufacturer," says AL with a shrug.

"They always try to one-up one another," she says with a sigh. "They're lucky I love them. And I think it'd be too much of a hassle to take separate TARDISes." She glances at the Doctors, who nod. "So, we'll nip this in the bud right now. We'll take Eight's."

There are sounds of protest.

"Hush! Out of all of them, Eight's is the most comfortable plus the interior is kind of reminiscent of the time the Victors is from...are from...were from. Whatever. And it has more chairs. So that's that. Got it?"

The Doctors fidget. "Yes," they chorus.

"Good boys."

"Probably," Vic agrees with a little nod.

Forgotten laughs as AL puts the Doctors in their places. "All right then. I look forward to seeing it."

"I'm just glad you lot don't argue like that," Vic comments.

"We don't have any spaceships to argue over. My apologies, space and time ships," he corrects himself, not wanting to offend the Doctors in any way.

"Remind me not to give you any spaceships then."

"Well, you never know what they might build over in Crystalden. . ."

"Oh, I'm used to the arguing," says AL. "If they don't, then I think something is wrong." She shrugs.

"They have multiple DeLoreans and Trains, though, don't they? Not that I'm suggesting that they argue," she's quick to add.

Vic snickers. "Yeah, the specials where you've got more than one actually working together are pretty serious business, aren't they?"

"I was referring specifically to us Victors," Forgotten Vows explains. "I'm afraid I don't know about the Docs."

"Well, the thing is with ours is that there aren't massive changes like between the Doctors' TARDISes," VampDoc explains. "So if we need to time travel, we can easily just take whoever's machine is closest. Not to mention we're most likely to use one of the Trains because of the increased passenger space."

"We'll put it this way," says AL. "Time Lords meeting themselves was against the First Law of Time. The first time it happened, the Time Lords themselves took it upon themselves to break the First Law because the threat was that great. If the First Law of Time is being broken, it's for a good reason."

"Oh, true," says AL to Forgotten Vows. "Sorry about that. I guess you have the advantage, then. The Victors kind of don't really share anything, do they? All of their skill-sets are unique to each of them, huh?"

"Ooooh, I see," Vic says, grimacing. "Yeah, that does pretty much show just how serious it is when Doctors have to team up. Wow. . ."

The Victors look at each other. "Er -- kind of," Tie-Twister says, playing with his hands. "We've all got the same basic skills, I believe -- playing piano, drawing, knowing rather a lot about butterflies -- it's just that some of us have things added on, or focus on more than the others."

"Exactly -- I'm the one who knows the most about butterflies -- to the point of being able to make them these days," Butterfly Boy says as an example, beaming with pride.

"And I'm the one who knows some magic, and how to fight," Forgotten adds. "And how to survive in a world where your dreams like to come true every night in odd ways. We each have our specialties."

"Yup." AL nods. "It's always a Big Thing."

"Again, true. Tell Ferdinand I say hello, by the way."

[butterflyboy]

"And in that universe, it can never be a pleasant 'Big Thing,'" Forgotten notes, shaking his head.

Butterfly Boy chuckles and nods. "I certainly will. He's getting along very well these days, I'm sure you'll be happy to hear."

(I just re-watched "The Two Doctors", so I'm back, lol)

"No, not in that case," says AL. "The Time Lords did it themselves the first time...and the second time, too, come to think of it."

Five idly rubs his chest. "One Time Lord," he corrects gently. "He wanted to use me to get into the Tomb of Rassilon...one of the developers of time travel for my people. He thought he'd find immortality because he thought Rassilon himself immortal."

"Well," says AL, "he is, in a way. I mean, he turned Borusa into a living statue and got us out of the Death Zone." Five nods. "Now the third time...well, that was just kind of concidence, wasn't it? Though I suppose Two and Six winding up in the same place could've been a subconscious thing." She shrugs. "I mean, Two was in danger and Six had a vision of it, so..." She shrugs again. "Part of me is glad it happened, though." She grins. "It brought Jamie and I back together even if just for that one adventure."

The Scot smiles.

"Now, the fourth time, Five and Ten...well, Ten had the TARDIS shields down and kind of merged his and Five's TARDIS accidentaly."

Ten scratches his head with a sheepish look. "Well..."

"Would've caused a giant explosion but Ten fixed it and separated the TARDIS. Was nice to see Five again, too."

Five smiles at her as well.

"Now the fifth time, when Ten and Eleven meet up...well, ask me after November 23rd." She makes a face.

The face dissapears, however, when Butterfly Boy talks about Ferdinand. "That's great to hear. Yay Ferdy!" She grins goofily.

"Ahhhh," Vic says. "Interesting. And yeah, the Ten and Five thing I saw. There was going to be a Bad Thing the size of Belgium, if I remember correctly."

"Belgium?" Forgotten Vows repeats, raising an eyebrow.

"They thought it was weird too." She grins at AL. "I'm sure we won't have to ask. Either you or other you will tell us all about it."

Butterfly Boy giggles at her smile. "Yes, he's doing great. Which is really something for the tumblr version -- I made him during a thread where I and my adopted 'daughter' for that world were trapped in Aperture Science."

"He likes to brag that he's made one of the very few things created with Aperture technology that's worked as it was supposed to," Forgotten jokes. Butterfly Boy preens playfully.
